Vikram's double role in 'Vedi'!

The latest buzz about 'Vedi' would make Chiyaan lovers happy, for sure. For, in the Bhoopathy Pandian film, he would be playing both the hunter and the hunted, as the police officer and the goon. It will be worth waiting to see how Vikram would perform in these two different roles in the same film.

For an actor, who has played the hero and villain in the two different versions of the same film, 'Raavan', this could not be too big hurdle. But, it would be just fascinating to watch how Vikram brings different shades of expressions to make his roles memorable. As 'Singam', in which Suriya plays a cop, has become a blockbuster, the onus is on Bhoopathy and Vikram to make a different cop film.

Vikram, who has done several supporting roles in Malayalam cinema before he made it big in Tamil films,is ready to act without charging any fee in a Malayalam cinema.

His only condition is that the film should be original and different.

He says that he has been getting many offers from Malayalam, but most of them are remakes of his own Tamil hits

'Madrasapattinam' passed without any cuts!

'Madrasapattinam', one of the most awaited Tamil movies this year after 'Raavanan' and 'Endhiran' has been certified with a clean 'U' by the censors and no cuts were recommended.

Madrasapattinam is a period drama set in the Madras of the colonial Raj. Arya plays the son of a dhobi and a wrestler in the film. His character falls in love with an English Memsab (Amy Jackson) and there starts terrible conflicts, both internal and external, for the love struck pair.

Silambarasan celebrates VTV's 100 days

'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya' has transformed the youngman in total: His image has gone in for a serious makeover and his personality has mellowed down quite noticeably. And he is getting offers fron top notch directors. ads we know, he will star in the lead in Mani Ratnam's next.

'VTV', a peotic love story by Gowtham Menon is about to complete 100 house full days at the cinemas. In anticipation of the event, Simbu threw a big party for his friends at a posh hotel in Chennai. Most of the unit members of 'VTV' were present at the do except Trisha, who was holidaying abroad.

‘Endhiran’ to arrive in August: Rajnikanth

Rajnikanth said that Endhiran was almost over and that there was only one song that remained to be canned. He was speaking to reporters, while on a visit to ‘Kodai Thiruvizha' on Island Grounds in Chennai. The actor said he was very happy with the final result of the film.

Actor Kushboo, who has joined the DMK earlier this week, has been dropped from 'Jackpot', a reality show on Jaya TV, owned by the AIADMK. While joining the party, she had made it clear that she would continue to host the show as she planned to keep her business and politics apart from each other.

Sura

SP Rajkumar, known for his comedies, has succeeded in using the mass appeal and skills of Ilaiya Thalapathi. Vijay, whose political ambitions are no secret, plays a do-gooder fisherman who delivers some powerful one-liners about the current politics in the country. He sings and dances like a dream; some of the difficult dance movements he executes invite ecstatic cries from his fans. He tries his hand at comedy in this movie and comes out unscathed.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa

Goutham Menon, one of the best directors in India now, once again produce a marvel of a film.: His 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya' is one of the finest love stories to have come out in recent times. The evocative film tugs at our heart strings and makes us identify himself with the characters. Surely, this could be the best work so far by Gowtham Menon

Theeratha Vilaiyattu Pillai

The film by Thiru has no pretensions whatsoever as to its content. The glossy film, with frames full of gorgeous women, is a feast for the eyes; but you are advised not to expect much more than this. There are moments of pure enjoyment and some times of crass vulgarity in it. So, be prepared!

Asal

"Thala" Ajith, who had disappointed his fans with his last outing 'Aegan', is back to his best in 'Asal'. The cent per cent entertainer, directed by Saran, has Ajith in one of his most stylish roles. Kutty

Mithran R Jawahar is not the regular Kollywood filmmaker who churns out formula films. He made 'Yaaradee Nee Mohini', a sensitive film with Nayanthara and Dhanush when the former was being considered a super glam girl. But his 'Kutty', starring Dhanush and Shriya Saran, is a romantic comedy. The remake of Telugu hit 'Arya', which made Allu Arjun a superstar, 'Kutty' is worth a watch because of...you guessed it, Dhanush!
