Vikram's double role in 'Vedi'!

The latest buzz about 'Vedi' would make Chiyaan lovers happy, for sure. For, in the Bhoopathy Pandian film, he would be playing both the hunter and the hunted, as the police officer and the goon. It will be worth waiting to see how Vikram would perform in these two different roles in the same film.

For an actor, who has played the hero and villain in the two different versions of the same film, 'Raavan', this could not be too big hurdle. But, it would be just fascinating to watch how Vikram brings different shades of expressions to make his roles memorable. As 'Singam', in which Suriya plays a cop, has become a blockbuster, the onus is on Bhoopathy and Vikram to make a different cop film.

Vikram, who has done several supporting roles in Malayalam cinema before he made it big in Tamil films,is ready to act without charging any fee in a Malayalam cinema.

His only condition is that the film should be original and different.

He says that he has been getting many offers from Malayalam, but most of them are remakes of his own Tamil hits

'Madrasapattinam' passed without any cuts!

'Madrasapattinam', one of the most awaited Tamil movies this year after 'Raavanan' and 'Endhiran' has been certified with a clean 'U' by the censors and no cuts were recommended.

Madrasapattinam is a period drama set in the Madras of the colonial Raj. Arya plays the son of a dhobi and a wrestler in the film. His character falls in love with an English Memsab (Amy Jackson) and there starts terrible conflicts, both internal and external, for the love struck pair.

‘Endhiran’ to arrive in August: Rajnikanth

Rajnikanth said that Endhiran was almost over and that there was only one song that remained to be canned. He was speaking to reporters, while on a visit to ‘Kodai Thiruvizha' on Island Grounds in Chennai. The actor said he was very happy with the final result of the film.

Jaya TV drops Kushboo from 'Jackpot'

 Actor Kushboo, who has joined the DMK earlier this week, has been dropped from 'Jackpot', a reality show on Jaya TV, owned by the AIADMK. While joining the party, she had made it clear that she would continue to host the show as she planned to keep her business and politics apart from each other.

SP Rajkumar, known for his comedies, has succeeded in using the mass appeal and skills of Ilaiya Thalapathi. Vijay, whose political ambitions are no secret, plays a do-gooder fisherman who delivers some powerful one-liners about the current politics in the country. He sings and dances like a dream; some of the difficult dance movements he executes invite ecstatic cries from his fans. He tries his hand at comedy in this movie and comes out unscathed.
